Curious about LuLaRoe?

If you come by GYG Yarn Studio this Saturday afternoon, you will have the chance to experience the fun world of LuLaRoe fashions. Local knitwear designer Cori Schrader is hosting a pop-up party this weekend. Come for the yarn and stay for the styles to drape your knitwear over!

This is a unique opportunity to combine comfortable clothes for the summer with your yarn picks for your next knitting project. Match up the perfect cool morning shawl colors, pick up skeins of a summer bright in cotton or linen to knit a layered tee, or accent your new outfit with a new spring scarf or knitting bag!

Corey's blurb -
"Pop in for some quick shopping or come and hang out. There will be fabulous clothing, knot and styling tutorials and of course, delicious snacks and beverages. Bring yourself or bring your girlfriends! All are welcomed!"

Welcome Sunshine - and Alana Dakos!

After what feels like a deluge of rainy weather, we are ready to welcome back some sunshine this Saturday, just in time to spend the afternoon with Alana Dakos!

Buttonholes and Bands Workshop
Saturday, January 14th 1-3 pm

Alana Dakos is a designer and author of multiple pattern books including Coastal Knits and Botanical Knits. Her designs range from hats, mitts and shawls to cardigans for women and girls which feature her signature leaf and foliage motifs.

If you have ever struggled with adding professional looking buttonholes to your cardigan or if you are new to the skill, you will want to sign up to join us in this workshop.

Alana will be demonstrating 3 different techniques for creating buttonholes, how to determine button placement and position a matching band.

Come by or call GYG Yarn Studio at (916) 899-5416 to reserve a spot!

Come see the featured knits from Alana's patterns in the shop. Here's a shot of Verdure, the plant motif mitts that I gifted a friend with this season. We carry Ms. Dakos' books in our shop as well as her single pattern designs including many of her hats and garments for children.
